I knew it...

I knew that we wouldn't get Schneider. Everyone was so sure that DL was just making Burke sweat a little, but no, I knew that he wasn't going to do it. I knew for two reasons:

1. It would be a smart move.
He hasn't seemed to be doing a lot of that lately. I am pretty sure that he is boycotting strategy, or he is just really ahead of the curve. It was also a bit of an obvious move and Deano doesn't do predictable.

2. I didn't think he would get Schneider.
Every time I try to make a prediction about what the big DL will do next, he always makes me look stupid and does the opposite. The one time that I don't voice my prophecies, he follows them. He shall parish.

So Schneider goes to Atlanta for Ken Klee (D), Brad Larson (LW) and Chad Painchauld (LW).

Schneider gets $5.75 million*
Klee gets $1.25 million
Larson gets $560, 000
Painchauld gets $565, 000
Anaheim gets $3 million in cap space
*Plus he gets to wear those snazzy Atlanta pajamas when he plays...

Moral in Anaheim: A penny saved is a penny earned.

Moral in LA: Pull the trigger!*

*it relates so much, it's frustrating
